Scarlett Sosa

Scarlett is a very special child with special needs that we are finding that traditional school have not been able to offer Scarlett. This coming school year Scarlett will go into middle school. As many of you know middle school is a time that is a new start for kids. Kids start to change and sometimes are not so nice. Scarlett’s educational needs school is zoned for a middle school that is not the best school. We have been searching and visiting schools that will fit Scarlett’s needs and we found a wonderful school that will be able to help Scarlett with all her educational, emotional and physical needs. This school will also put Scarlett on a path to prepare her for the future of becoming an adult with special needs and introduce her socially, emotionally to be able to interact and learn her own independence and interact in a work place when that time comes. Scarlett was able to attend this school for a day and go through the day as a student. She absolutely loved it .She was even more excited and proud when she received her acceptance letter to the school. ❤️In this school Scarlett will learn skills to become more independent. Everyone that knows Scarlett knows her as this 11 year old beautiful girl who loves books, to talk to people, learn and extremely funny. We want nothing more than for her to nourish her soul and give her the best life and educational future for her .Unfortunately we are unable to afford the tuition for this school. We want to give Scarlett this opportunity to attend Unicorn Academy next year. Keeping Scarlett in a public school atmosphere where she is just a number in a large group is not best for her. We have also tried different possible schools for Scarlett but when presented Scarlett’s IEP they were unable to accommodate her needs. We want to see her progress and grow not regress in her learning. Anything you can do to help Scarlett get closer to being able to get the help and educations she deserves would be greatly appreciated.
